There seem to be an endless amount of practice test software and sites to choose from. After watching all of Professor Messer's Videos and Reading the Exam Cram book I am ready to start taking as many practice tests as possible. I would like to get some input and thoughts on some of the different testing software and sites out there to see what people have found best for them. I am willing to pay for quality materials (In terms of actually reflecting similar questions on the real test or by the quantity of questions in their test bank), as many of the free practice tests available online are either very short or specific to certain topics/domains of the test. I've listed a few of them below and would appreciate any opinions or feedback on them.

  1. ExamCompass

  2. CertBlaster

  3. Crucial Exams

  4. Transcender (This one seems to include simulations as well, which will be helpful. I've heard of other success stories on here using it, so I'm hoping someone can confirm the quality of this site.

  5. Total Seminars Total Tester (This one is recommended by Mike Meyers)

Thank you everyone!

Hi all,

Forgive my newness. I'm currently studying for the A+ (1001 currently) and am looking to get a paid software exam bundle. Currently deciding between the Certblaster and Cert Blaster. I'm currently using Meyer's A+ All in One for the 1001 in ebook format. I'm roughly 80% through the book and have been reading through and taking notes. I'd like to start doing some test taking to see what I want to brush up on. Examcompass has been alright so far, but the fact that the test questions are the same leads to fairly easy memorization without intending to. Do you have any recommendation between the Comptia software and Certblaster? I'm tempted to go with Comptia, as it's literally coming from the cert vendor, but I am curious how Certblaster stacks up. I believe the Certblaster is cheaper if you buy the bundle currently, so that's also a plus on that end. Though I have read that the Certblaster PBQ's are not very good compared to the actual A+ exam, though that might have just been luck of the draw for the comments I read about it. I'm planning to pick one up in the next few days, but I wanted to see if there were any opinions before I go ahead and get one.

I'm also planning on picking up Messer's notes to have a more concise review packet than going back through the textbook.

Thanks folks! Greatly appreciate any help you can offer. I'll try to keep you all posted on how my exam goes. I scheduled it for 8/2 so far, but might push it out a bit to get some more practice and study time in.
